Congregational prayers » Method of performing ṣalāt al-āyāt
Ruling 1486. Ṣalāt al-āyāt consists of two rakʿahs, and in each rakʿah there are five rukūʿs. The method of performing the prayer is as follows: after making the intention [performing the prayer], one says takbīr, recites one sūrat al-Ḥamd and another complete surah, enters rukūʿ and then raises one's head from rukūʿ; then he recites another sura al-Ḥamd and another complete sura, he rukūʿ again, and so on, until he has done it a total of five times. After rising from the fifth rukūʿ, he performs two sajdahs, then stands up and performs the second rakʿah in the same manner as the first; Then he says tashahhud and the salam of the prayer.
Sentence 1487. [A shorter method of performing ṣalāt al-āyāt is as follows:] After expressing the intention [to perform the prayer], one says takbīr and recites Surah al-Ḥamd; then you can divide the verses of the other surah into five parts and recite one or more verses, or less if, as a precaution, it is a complete sentence. You should start at the beginning of the surah and not be content with reciting Bismillāh [alone and counting as one verse]. Then he enters rukūʿ, raises his head and without reciting Surat al-Ḥamd, recite the second part of the other surah. It then returns to the rukūʿ and so on until the other sura ends before moving on to the fifth rukūʿ. For example, if the other surah is surah al-Falaq (1), it says first:
In the name of God, the Merciful, the Merciful. Say I seek refuge in the Lord of the Dawn
bismil lahir raḥmānir raḥīm. qul aʿūdhu birabil falaq
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Merciful. Say: “I seek the protection of the Lord of Dawn.
…and goes [for the first time] in rukūʿ; then he stands up and says:
From the evil of creation
min sharri ma khalaq
From the evil of what He created
…and enters rukūʿ again [for the second time]; then he stands up and says:
And from the evil of darkness as it approaches
it's bad for me
and from the evil of the dark night when it settles,
…and enters rukūʿ again [for the third time]; then he stands up and says:
And from the evil of the jets in knots
for me the evil of naffāthāti fil 'uqad
and the wickedness of the witches who blow knots,
…and enters rukūʿ again [for the fourth time]; then he stands up and says:
And of the wickedness of the envious when he envy
bad for me ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad
and of the wickedness of the envious when he envy.”
...and enters Rukūʿ for the fifth time. He then gets up, performs two sajdahs, and then proceeds to perform the second rak'ah in the same manner as the first. And after the second sajdah [the second rak'ah] say tashahhud and the salam of the prayer. Furthermore, it is permissible for one to divide the surah into fewer than five parts, but each time he completes the surah, it is necessary for him to recite surah al-Ḥamd before performing the next rukūʿ.
Judgment 1488. There is no problem if a person recites surah al-Ḥamd and the other surah five times in one rak'ah of ṣalāt al-āyāt and in the other rak'ah he recites one surah al-Ḥamd and divides the other surah into five parts
Ruling 1489. Things that are obligatory and recommended in daily prayers are also obligatory and recommended in ṣalāt al-āyāt. However, when performing ṣalāt al-āyāt in the assembly, one can say “aṣṣalāh” three times instead of adhān and iqāmah with the intention of rajāʾ; this does not apply if the prayer is not performed in congregation. The legitimacy of performing ṣalāt al-āyāt in the assembly for phenomena other than solar and lunar eclipses [ie, it should not be performed in the congregation for anything other than these appearances] has not been established.
Sentence 1490. It is recommended to say takbīr before and after rukūʿ, but it is not recommended to say takbīr after the fifth and tenth rukūʿ; rather, it is recommended to say “samiʿal lāhu liman ḥamidah.”(2)
Ruling 1491. It is recommended that one perform qunūt before the second, fourth, sixth, eighth, and tenth rukūʿ; and if one performs qunūt only before the tenth rukūʿ, it is enough.
Sentence 1492. If one doubts in ṣalāt al-āyāt how many rak'ahs he has done and after thinking about it he does not find an answer, his prayer is invalid.
Sentence 1493. If one doubts whether he is in the last rukū' of the first rak'ah or in the first rukū' of the second rak'ah, and after reflection does not find an answer, his prayer is invalid. However, if you doubt, for example, if you have performed four or five rukūʿ, if your doubt arises, before bowing to the Sajdah, you must perform the doubting rukūʿ. However, if you have already prostrated for prayer, then you should drop your doubt.
Ruling 1494. Each rukūʿ of ṣalāt al-āyāt is a rukn; thus, if a rukūʿ is intentionally omitted or added, the sentence is invalid. The same applies if a rukūʿ is mistakenly omitted or mistakenly added out of imperative caution.
Lesson 49: Salat al-ayaat (Signal Prayer)
The "signs" (ayaat) prayer is obligatory when any of the following signs occur:-
1. Eclipse solar.
2do eclipse lunar.
3. Earthquake.
4. Any natural event that would normally cause fear in ordinary people, such as B. black, red or yellow storm, cyclone and the like.
During solar and lunar eclipses, the time of the “sign prayer” is from the beginning of the eclipse until its complete clearance.
For other reasons, such as B. earthquakes, it should be prayed shortly after the cause has subsided. But it is always ada, even when it is prayed many days after it occurs.
The signal prayer is 2 rak'ats; Each rak'at has 5 ruku' (10 ruku' in total).
After Niyyah and Takbiratul-ihram, you must recite Surah al-Hamd, then any other Surah; then go to ruku'. His only Ruku' is complete. After getting up from Ruku', recite Surah al-Hamd and a Surah again and go to Ruku'. Your second ruku' is complete. Also, you must do 5 Ruku'. After getting up from the 5th ruku' say 'Sami 'Allahu liman hamidah' and go to saydah. Complete 2 Sajdahs as normal and advance to 2nd Rak'at.
Also do 5 ruku' in the second rak'at and perform 2 sajdahs, recite tashahhud and salaam as usual. His sentence is complete.
Note: It is mustahab to recite Qunut before any other Ruku'. For this purpose, he adds up the ten ruku'. So they will recite Qunut before 2 and 4 (in the 1st rak'at) and before 6, 8 and 10 ruku' (in the 2nd rak'at).
You can also pray this prayer by following a short method:
After Takbiratul Ihram, recite Surah al-Hamd and only part of a Surah; then go to the first ruku', after getting up recite another subsequent part of this surah and go to the second ruku', get up again and recite the third subsequent part of this surah and go to the 3rd ruku'. Do the same before the 4th and 5th ruku' and finish the surah before the 5th ruku'.
For example: Surah al-Ikhlas consists of 5 verses. You can recite "Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim" before the first ruku; 'Qul-Huwa'llahu Ahad' before the second Ruku'; Allahus-Samad' before the 3rd Ruku'; "The yalid wa lam yulad" before the 4th ruku"; and "Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad" before the 5th ruku",
Therefore, you would have read only one al-Hamd and only one complete Surah in one rak'at. You can recite one rak'at in one way and the other rak'at in another way.
